Venetian Isles

Venetian Isles – St. Petersburg

You can live the Florida dream in the waterfront community of Venetian Isles in St. Petersburg.  With many homes on canals leading out to the bay, or with direct open bay access – this neighborhood has some of the best values for waterfront real estate you’ll find in Florida! Venetian Isles is a beautiful and private deed restricted community with approximately 533 waterfront homes. Coveted for its beautifully manicured grounds, Venetian Isles consists of tropically landscaped properties, deep sailboat-depth water, and close proximity to downtown St. Petersburg.

Every home in Venetian Isles is waterfront, with private docks and beautiful water views. The deep-water canals were designed for both powerboats and sail boat access. The beautiful waterfront homes of Venetian Isles are built on a man-made islands connected by a series of bridges. Venetian Isles is bordered to the west by Tampa Bay and located just north of the popular neighborhoods of Shore Acres and Snell Isle. Venetian Isles is an ideal location for commuters. The community enjoys convenient access to both downtown St. Petersburg and all of the major arteries leading to Tampa.

Originally developed in the 1960s, most of the homes in Venetian Isles have been renovated more recently. Newly constructed homes are popping up across the neighborhood now too. The home styles in Venetian Isles range from modest Florida ranch-style homes to luxury mid-sized Mediterranean residences. You’ll even find some large mansions along Carolina Avenue at the end of the community.

Since Venetian Isles is a deed restricted community, the homes were all built to comply with the following: minimum size living areas, concrete block construction with tile roofs, on minimum lot sizes, no fences except chain link and wrought iron/aluminum and all homes had to have sodded lawn yards. Sibley Homes, Tessier Homes and Rutenberg Homes were the original builders of all the homes here.

The Venetian Isles Homeowners Association is very active in preserving the quality of life and providing many amenities for the residents such as: a hospitality committee for new residents, a beautification committee to preserve and enhance the entrances and common areas, a dredging and seawall committee to protect the waterways and insure they are navigable by even the largest of boats, block parties, community golf and fishing events and membership and communications committees.

Venetian Isles Homeowners Association is chartered to enhance and preserve the beauty of Venetian Isles and its property values by enforcing deed restrictions while providing a pleasant, social life for the residents. As such, it has a committee to manage and maintain the deed restrictions, publishes communications and news to its residents and a yearly directory of all residents. Voluntary membership dues are currently $120 per year.

Per the Venetian Isles Homeowners Association website, Venetian Isles was developed as a submerged water landfill project and, as such, was built at an elevation of approximately 5-7 feet above the natural shoreline. This natural shoreline is now known as the development called “Shore Acres” which borders Venetian Isles on two sides. Venetian Isles residents have been spared the flooding problems of the past 19 hurricanes that have hit Florida since 1950. Hurricanes Agnes in 1972 and Elena in 1985, which caused extensive damage in Pinellas County, did damage some outlying homes in Venetian Isles that face the Skyway Bridge, but no flooding problems occurred to any of the other homes.

Client Testimonials

I definitely recommend Liane if you are trying to sell your house. We had previously listed our house with another realtor. It sat for a year without selling. While we did like our other realtor, she was just not very proactive in contacting us or suggesting things to get the house sold. After switching to Liane, we had an offer in less than a week and closed 30 days later!
- Vanessa DeMarco
We had a previous realtor before Liane and it was night and day in comparison. I have extremely high expectations on responsiveness and was continually impressed. Her comparisons pulled on our house were dead on.
- Michelle Bartha
I had truly wonderful experience with Liane! My house was sold within a week! She helped me deal with all the issues that arose during the process, which was wonderful since my house was in FL, while I reside in NY! She was always accessible and returned my calls promptly. I would highly recommend her.
- Slavina Gardella
Liane was recommended by 2 close friends I trust very much. My experience with her was beyond what I was expecting. She was extremely knowledgeable and I will recommend her to everyone looking to buy or sell.
