One of my favorite neighborhoods in St. Petersburg is Allendale Terrace. While most people flock to the Old Northeast Historic neighborhood, known for its beautiful old homes on cobblestone roads just blocks from the water, they forget about Allendale Terrace, a bit to the northeast with its giant oak trees and large estate homes. Allendale Terrace also has many of those same charming cobblestone roads and old, beautiful historic homes but with much larger lots that the zero lot line feel of the Old Northeast. Allendale Terrace is also noted for being on high ground as compared to neighborhoods like Snell Isle and Shore Acres, outside of a flood zone and is thought to be one of the finest non-waterfront neighborhoods in St. Petersburg.
Just yesterday, this beauty popped up on the market, vacant and ready for its new owner. It was completely rehabbed, and stunning doesn’t begin to describe it and for under $400,000! This home boasts over 4,000 square feet, 5 bedrooms and has a huge pool and sits on over a 1/2 acre lot. It features a fireplace, a bar with wine fridge – and the kitchen – amazing! Double fridge, microwave/convention oven, granite and more. Try finding a 4,000 sq. ft. home in the Old Northeast for less than a million…. unlikely. This one, I suspect, will be gone in a matter of days, so if you are in the market, call me to see it right away!
