The loss of life, homes and devastation in Oklahoma City suburbs after the monster tornado ripped through the area are heart-wrenching. Our thoughts are with the victims and families through out the midwest that have been affected by this recent string of tornadoes. We have compiled a list of 7 charities you can easily text to donate to that support tornado relief efforts. If you donated to all 7, it will take you less than 7 minutes to donate $70 total (7 charities x $10 donation.) But even if you can only donate to one – every little bit helps!
1. American Red Cross
If you want to send a $10 donation to the Disaster Relief fund via text message, you can do so by texting the word REDCROSS to 90999. As in the case with other donations via mobile, the donation will show up on your wireless bill, or be deducted from your balance if you have a prepaid phone. You need to be 18 or older, or have parental permission, to donate this way.
